History
The SIME Awards were created in 1996 to honor excellence in online communication, business practice and technology, recognize the individuals and organizations responsible and inspire the Internet industry of the North to world-class performance. SIME Awards shall contribute to an improvement of the creative and businesslike standards and expose the industry to potential clients.
The format
First of all, you will not have to apply for the awards! Our competent jury will do the work to select the winners. Secondly, as digital media is being more and more integrated in all areas of business we go from awarding niche competences within technology, strategy and communication to award companies that are distinguishing themselves in all three areas. SIME Awards will award younger promissing companies in one category and larger established companies in another.
Rising Stars of the North - The Mighty 36
SIME Awards this year is going deep into the foundations of entrepreneurship to dig and find those young innovative rising stars from the North. An able and just jury would be involved in finding the spark and the magic within these companies to give them the alter, the spotlight and all the glitz that comes along in winning the SIME Award.
Companies with innovation in their DNA that puts into use cross-media platform / interactive media, and have a working product / technology are quite good enough to make it into the awards draw. This year we plan to find those interesting companies, and short list the nominees (number to be confirmed) who will then be given all the PR and publicity before the actual SIME Stockholm (November 17-18).
In order to secure worthy winners we will not let you seduce the jury by sending in your application - don’t call us we call you! The final winner will be announced in the awards gala November 18th
The Big Company Award - SIME Grand Prize
The industry propellers, catalyst and the big giants in the digital space that have innovation in their crux and continue to thump along in the mainstream form a perfect fit in this category for SIME. We will present the winner at the Awards Gala during SIME Stockholm.
