The SIME Awards Jury consists of 12 professionals from the industry. The jury is totally independent from the SIME organization and is fully responsible for selecting this year’s winners.

The Jury process for The Rising Stars of North

1. The SIME crew has scanned the market for approximately 150 promising young companies using the following criteria:
   1. Interactive media should be an important part of their product/service
   2. Launched; they should have a working product/service and users/customers in at least one of the four countries
   3. Their product/service must have great potential, potential to become a great commercial success and/or mean a lot to users/customers.
   4. Innovation height, we would rather choose the company that does something unique than one that copies already established models.
   5. Company with more than 50 employees, that has been in existence for over five years or had sales in excess of SEK 100 Million last year is too mature to take part in this competition.
2. You are all asked to suggest your own favorite companies to the jury. This is to ensure that every talented company in the Nordics get their fair chance to be nominated to SIME Awards. Last day for submission is September the 24th.
3. The jury will now go through the attached list of companies for their respective country and:
   1. Provide a list in what companies they have a vested interest and will then refrain from voting for these companies
   2. Provide a list of the 10-15 companies they believe in the most and provide us with a short motive for each choice.
4. The criteria used by the jury are the following:
   1. High level of innovation
   2. Clear end-user focus
   3. Large market potential
   4. International growth potential
   5. Competent management
5. This is a process of simply counting the votes from the jury members in each country. Sweden and Finland with the highest number of nominated companies will have a higher percentage of the top 36 companies.
6. The jury will gather to take another look at the top 36 companies to make a 1-36 list including a motivation for each one of them. The criteria the jury will use are the same as the ones above.

The Jury Process for SIME Grand Prize

1. The jury will select the three companies that has been most important to the development of interactive media in the Nordics 2010.
2. Make a 1-3 list. The jury will sort the top 3 companies from 1 to 3. What is open to the public: the list including the jury motivation for each company will be presented at the SIME conference and simultaneously at www.sime.nu
