| Eat.fi is a restaurant search and review site based on a time-based dynamic map. The color of the dots on the map shows what restaurants are open at at any given time. Users can also filter their results by category, rating, price, and keyword. Restaurant information is kept up to date via a combination of wiki-like tools for users, and specialized tools for registered restaurant owners. Eat.fi’s community features allow users to have profiles, add photos, edit, search, share and organize their reviews. The site currently covers only Finland, but is designed for international expansion. A mobile version has already been released this spring and can be accessed at http://m.eat.fi with more information at http://eat.fi/en/eat/page/mobile.html |
The description says that mobile version is currently under development, but it was in fact released in the Spring. The mobile site can be found at http://m.eat.fi with more information at http://eat.fi/en/eat/page/mobile.html
In addition to the the basic mobile site there’s an application for both iPhone and S60 5th edition devices that lets you find nearby restaurants easily based on your location. The iPhone app can be found in the iTunes App Store and the S60 WRT Widget in the Ovi Store.
We’re delighted to have been nominated! By the way, we do have that mobile site now: http://m.eat.fi as well as an iPhone app and an S60 widget. :)
@ juha Kaunisto, thanks, noted the change and updated the bio.
@ tina, good luck with the nomination. Hope to see you guys at Cafe Opera on stage. :)
