Timo Suokko

Timo Suokko

Timo Suokko has worked in Marketing Communications since 1984. He has worked with several leading Finnish and international companies in developing and executing their brand strategies.

During the years 1991 – 2000, Mr. Suokko led the planning and production of Nokia´s marketing communications in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He was actively involved in the original development and strategy of the Nokia brand.

After a period as MD of Publicis Helsinki in 2007-2008, he now continues on free lance basis, currently in strong cooperation with Activeark.

He is a wanted speaker and moderator at various marketing seminars and executive meetings and training sessions  throughout the world. In this role he has worked in Finland, England, Germany, France, Hungary, Iceland, Denmark, Italy, USA and South Africa.

During his 18 years career in Nokia Pekka has worked both in various business leadership and marketing roles including the early SMS business in early 90’s to the Nokia Nseries product responsibility, Nokia’s music business, and latest the user experience and consumer data acitivities for Ovi by Nokia.

Kaj joined MySQL in 2001, after 14 years as an entrepreneur. For MySQL, Kaj was VP Training, VP Professional Services, VP Services, and VP Engineering at MySQL, before assuming his last pure-MySQL role of VP Community Relations in 2005.

With MySQL AB being acquired by Sun, Kaj continues to lead the MySQL community efforts and assumed an additional role as MySQL’s Ambassador to Sun. A native of Finland, Kaj lives in Munich since 2006. He devotes his spare time to founding Runnism, the Religion of Running.
