SIME Stockholm 2009 is gathering a lot of steam. It is slowly taking shape into something that promises to be very interesting, unique and extremely catalyzing to the entrepreneurial environment, taking us closer to our lofty vision of giving the best ever SIME in the 13 year history. From inspiring keynotes and panelists to business galvanizing workshops, and SIME Awards and gala that celebrate Nordic’s finest in the heart of Stockholm city, a true fitting to the SIME aficionados, we have them all weaved into 2 days full of inspiration, knowledge, business and fun – the mantra that the SIME crew lives by.

This post aims to summarize all the developments that have happened from the month of July aiming to keep track of all the blood and sweat that is going on behind the scenes to take the Nordics (Stockholm) by storm this year.

    Great Partners. Great SIME

First and foremost, we have found fantastic co-hosts in Aftonbladet and SUN Microsystems. They are part of creating the SIME journey and magic with the SIME team working shoulder to shoulder to provide the best content and knowledge for this year. We have also found fantastic supporting and media partners (below) who are supporting us in every inch that we move forward. The City of Stockholm has also joined forces with us to inspire the Scandinavian digital scene even more.

    Great Conference Agenda. Great SIME

What’s a conference without a good quality agenda. And year on year, we at SIME have ensured that we bring the best knowledge nodes from across the world, from the Pacific to the Atlantic, and digging deep within academics, culture and art to find inspiration from the last bit of the earth that is left. Together with thematic workshops, networking bazaars and the revised Awards, we think this year SIME is going to be a mass orgy of knowledge.

    Great Awards. Great SIME

And with a big leg of SIME deeply rooted in the sands of entrepreneurship, we did our bit this year to scout and scan through young start up’s that are soon poised to be the pride of Scandinavia. We launched “The Mighty 36″ to recognize 36 Scandinavian companies that we think are going to inspire Scandinavian entrepreneurship in the next generation. And to make sure we have the best gross list of companies to choose from, we had an extremely competent jury, people who would be featured in the who’s who list of the Scandinavian digital scene to scour through tens of companies to finally decide on the Mighty 36. Catch the coverage every day on 1 company in the Mighty 36 as we try to shed some light into the company a bit more.

    Great Talks. Great SIME.

In the SIME Digital Team, we wanted to share all the knowledge that we have accumulated through the last 2 year’s at SIME and, on looking back at the digital material that was available, we were genuinely surprised to say the least. We realized that all the questions we asked them then still hold sway and the digital world is still trying to grapple with answers. And hence, was born the idea of SIME talks taking a leaf off the almighty TED and having SIME talks out in the blog every Wednesday. Below is the list of all the SIME Talks till date.

Together with PWC, we launched the Global Media and Entertainment Outlook from 2009 – 2013, that gives us all the statistics and forecasting for the digital media industry. We were quite stunned by some of the bold predictions and sure will you if you get your hands on it.

    Great Developers. Great SIME

3 and SIME together launched the Swedish Android Dev. Competition, a calling to all Android Developers to submit their applications to be evaluated by 3. Read about the competition here

    Great Bloggers. Great SIME

SIME loves bloggers and the brain children blogging has inspired giving more fuel to the internet nodes. And every year, we recognize bloggers as much as we recognize the traditional press folks, giving them “bloggers passes” to the event to cover and spread some digital karma to the world they inspire.

    Great Digital Channels. Great SIME

SIME is spreading its wings into the realms of the online world a tad bit more this year, and we are trying to listen and give information and knowledge through all the nodes. A Facebook Page, the mighty Facebook Group (that is quite strong), a twit channel, LinkedIN, Google Groups and of course the newsletter (to the side of the blog) and the blog itself.

And in the end it is just about Great People. Great Conference. Looking forward to seeing you at SIME Stockholm on November 11, 12.
