    Agenda

Fireside chat with Alan Webber, author, Co-founder Fast Company, former managing editor/editorial director of the Harvard Business Review. – How can leadership foster the right kind of innovation needed to stay ahead in an era of constant flux? is one of the questions that will be answered in this session. Key takeaways: - Which attitudes, models and strategies are yesterdays news and which will replace them? – How does the role of leaders, companies and even countries need to adapt to the ever faster changing international arena of a connected world?

    Summary

From Puck the wiz-kid to the elder statesman (and personal favourite); Alan Weber, author of “Rules of thumb” rocked! Tweets noted his self-appointed title: “and the coolest title ever prize goes to… Alan Weber: “Global detective” #sime11” and his passion:  “a not-so young man with a fresh mind!”. His statement that only 4% of Fortune 500 companies in 1955 still exist, seemed to fascinate participants too, with many retweets. The message that changing the world is all about moral leadership came through loud and clear, but getting the most applause and the best tweet was his response to trash journalism: “if you feed people garbage, they will learn to consume garbage”.
