  • SIME Helsinki in a Moulin Rouge setting, speaker catch up and details

    Posted by mahesh in SIME News | Oct 19, 2010 @ 6:50

Eureka, the realization just hit us hard. SIME Helsinki is here and the best of it all, its held in a moulin rouge setting. Its amazing when you look at the surrounds – a bar, photos from the action hours at the venue, dazzling colors, low lights and a big SIME logo. Its a great combination. The speakers have started calling it adult entertainment – a la a marketing terminology.

The hashtag to use is #sime10. And our twitter handel is @simeblog. Photos on flickr are tagged with SIME, SIME 10. And if you are at the venue, the wifi password is sime0.

Anyways, we caught up with couple of the speakers yesterday and asked them:
    - who they are, what they do
    - why they are at SIME Helsinki? And what they are speaking about
    - And what is the one thing they would put their money on today

Richard Savage is the MD of Qualcomm, pioneering some cool innovations around vision based augmented reality, remote health monitoring amongst other things. Rupert Schaefer – you can find a detailed write up about him here.

This amazing campaign ranks right up there as one of the best campaigns I have seen. Created by Finnish company Hasan Partners, they touched all points of the internet and marketing ecosystem and made it work including banner campaigns. I know. Truly, creativity and internet can live happily ever after.

  • SIME Helsinki is just 24 hours away!

    Posted by mahesh in SIME 10 SIME News | Oct 18, 2010 @ 8:22

SIME Helsinki is just 1 day away and the crew is very excited to leave Stockholm today to give the last bit of SIME coating to our ground team there.

    Some details:
Venue – Fredan Tivoli, Fredrikinkatu 51, Helsinki. See the location on Google Maps.
    Agenda
    Speaker Line up

From what we hear, the town is spiced up to listen to some riveting talks and debates, participate in workshops and help their businesses take the leap. We have a strong line up of speakers and I am curious to see case studies, numbers on how far we have come in the Nordics with adoption of new technologies in marketing, advertising and social media.  The format is similar to Stockholm but a stripped down version with debates, keynotes and discussions on main stage keynotes from 0900 – 1430 followed by workshops and to end with a fireside chat with a surprise guest. My guess is as good as yours on who this surprise guest will be.

    Helsinki are you ready?
