Director Communications and Development Cooperation, Shifo Foundation
Karoline is part of the team that started Shifo Foundation in 2013 with the aim of improving health service delivery in under-served areas and reducing child and maternal mortality on a large scale. She is passionate about ICT’s ability to improve structure, transparency and efficiency to make better use of financial, human and technical resources. At Shifo she develops the Shifo community and creates strong partnerships for improvement of health service delivery in low-resources settings.
Karoline is also employed by KTH where she has been part of starting up the Stockholm Node of the pan-European program EIT ICT Labs that mobilises talent, technologies and business to drive innovation and entrepreneurship forward in Europe. 2005-2010 she was part of the team that started up SPIDER –the Swedish Program for ICT in Developing Regions – which supports low-income countries developing ICT capacity and infrastructure.
Karoline holds a BA in International Business and Modern Languages, and an MA in Human Rights and Politics.
