Annelies Van Den Belt joined SUP Fabrik in Moscow, Russia as its group CEO in June 2008. SUP is the leading digital quality content player in the market, reaching over 50% of the Russian internet audience, with the media brands; LiveJournal (largest blogging platform), Gazeta, (The quality online paper without a paper) and Championat, (the leading online sports brand). Annelies came to SUP from ITV, the UK’s largest commercial broadcaster, where she was managing director of ITV Broadband. At ITV she oversaw the launch of ITV.com in May 2007.
From 2000-2005 Annelies worked for News International as director of digital in charge of The Times online sites, followed by a position as director of New Media for The Telegraph group. Her previous roles before joining News International have included publisher of The Moscow Times, St Petersburg Times, Russia Business Review as well as Men’s Health and Playboy magazines in Russia. Before joining the media industry she worked for Johnson and Johnson in Russia, managing two of their medical devices businesses (Livescan and Cordis).
