Annie Wegelius is program director for public television SVT since 1 May 2007, with responsibility for public television, including entertainment, drama, cultural and children’s programs. She has worked in television for 25 years, most recently at the famous Swedish TV Prize as the Chairman of the Foundation. Annie has a long carrier in TV that began in 1982 as a producer at the production company Mekano in Stockholm. She was involved in starting TV3,where she was Program Manager between 1986 - 1990. Later, she ran her own production company Wegelius Television for seven years and produced programs in all genres of television formats in Sweden, Norway and Denmark.
