Christian Quarles van Ufford is Vice President, Director Global Marketing for Metro International – the world’s largest global newspaper (www.metro.lu). Christian is in charge of global brand and marketing strategy for 21 markets in Europe, Asia, and North and South America. In addition, Christian develops projects such as Metro Global Photo Challenge, Future Daily, Metropolitan Report, global guest editorships, global brand campaigns and B2B tactics, which are deployed globally. With such scope, business development and strategic partnerships are always an important part of his work.
Christian has extensive experience in building national, regional and international integrated campaigns — a majority of which have strong links to social media and other online activities. Prior to Metro International, Christian worked in the media and advertising industry for over 15 years in senior positions at Metro Sweden, Aftonbladet (Schibsted), Locomotive and MTG/ZTV.
Christian graduated from Berghs School of Communication with a degree in marketing, and participated in a management and business training schemes within MTG, Aftonbladet and Metro.
