Corporate Affairs VP at Tuenti
Sebastián Muriel is currently Corporate Affairs VP at Tuenti, the largest web site in Spain, with almost 11 million users, 33,000 million page views per month, and one of the highest levels of engagement in the sector (on average more 82 minutes / day). Muriel is responsible for driving the organization at this stage of growth and expansion, leading corporate development teams: partnerships, institutional relationships, communication, legal / privacy, and human capital.
Before joining Tuenti, Muriel was for four years the General Manager of red.es, the public company dedicated to promote the information society in Spain. Among other projects, he led the launch of the International Forum of Digital Contents (FICOD) with more than 17.000 attendees on it’s fourth edition (2010). Sebas also served on the Board of the EOI Business School, he was Executive vicepresident of two affiliates (Inteco and Cenatic) and he was the President of XBRL Spain (he was the first spanish member of the Executive Committee of XBRL Europe).
Previously, his career has always been linked to the ICT sector, first at Hewlett – Packard and Lucent Technologies, until he joined PricewaterhouseCoopers’ team as strategic business consultant in the telecom practice.
Muriel is a telecommunications engineer by the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Executive MBA from IESE and PDD in Finance from Instituto de Empresa.
