Co-Founder, SIME Non-Profit
Therese Engstrom is the co-founder and the executive director of the Non-Profit initiative by SIME, a digital top-level knowledge sharing summit held in Stockholm, focusing on how digital channels, IT technology and social media can be used to improve the world.
Therese Engström has many years’ of international experience working with communication, marketing and events both from the non-profit and in the business sector in Stockholm, Paris, New York, London, Geneva and on-field in Africa for various non profit organizations such as the International Red Cross (www.ifrc.org) with emergency operations and the ICT organisation Lifeline (www.lifelineenergy.org) with a focus on the access to information and energy for vulnerable populations.
Aside from her deep involvement in the non-profit sector, Therese also functioned as Key Account Manager for Absolut Vodka at the concept, design and event agency KNOCK as well as with climate change projects for Respect Europe. Her experience from different sectors has given her the ability to speak both business and non-profit ”languages” and to function as a bridge between them.
Therese graduated in International Corporate Communications, Political Science and Journalism from The American University of Paris, France
