Founder, TPM Games

Tim Preuster founded TPM Games GmbH, due to the success of his first game “Power of Politics”, after running his own web development company for 5 years. Over the last years, TPM Games is successfully operating “Power of Politics”, developed a social festival and event portal named plingg.com and during the last 3 years created a new game called Power of Research which was launched in February 2011. Tim is currently the lead developer/designer and general manager of TPM Games.

The multiple award-winning browser game Power of Politics is all about becoming a politician, founding a party, campaigning and more. Power of Politics was one of the first browser games with a full graphical interface and is currently scheduled to be released in a new version and also translated into other languages.

Power of Research is his latest game project which was just released in February 2011. There players have the opportunity to become a “virtual” scientist by for example researching scientific topics, perform microscopy, protein isolation and DNA experiments, manage high tech equipment etc. The game is funded by the EU through the 7th Framework Programme for research and is aimed at bringing young people from all over Europe closer to real science.
