Magnus Mähring 

Professor of Entrepreneurship and Digital Innovation at the Stockholm School of Economics (SSE) and Chair of the SSE House of Innovation.

About

Magnus previously served as SSE’s Associate Dean for MSc programs and as Academic Director for the CEMS Master in International Management program. Currently, he is Chair of the SSE House of Innovation, Head of strategic international collaborations at SSE, and serves on the CEMS Executive Board. He has held visiting positions at Georgia State University and Ecole de Management Strasbourg. He is currently appointed by the Swedish Government to its Expert Committee for Digital Investments.

His research primarily concerns digitalization, particularly in relation to organizational decision-making, transformation processes and work practices. He regularly contributes to international conferences, has co-edited four books, and published in MIS Quarterly, Information Systems Research, Organization Studies, Human Relations, California Management Review, Decision Sciences, Journal of the Association for Information Systems, Information Systems Journal, and other journals. He currently serves as Senior Editor for Journal of the Association for Information Systems and has previously served as Associate Editor for MIS Quarterly, and Associate Editor as well as Senior Editor for Information Systems Journal.

Magnus has extensive teaching experience, and consulting experience with both private and public organizations. He serves on the jury for the Swedish CIO Awards and leads the meetings of a Stockholm-based CIO Executive Club. He has received best papers awards from Decision Sciences and Journal of Strategic Information Systems and a best paper runner-up award from Information & Organization.
