Tim Sayler is the Chief Marketing Officer at Breitling since 2017. He looks forward to using his experience in luxury marketing, his passion for the brand’s heritage and products, and his strategic thinking to help lead Breitling into its next great era.
Earlier he worked six years as the CMO at Audemars Piguet, where he was introduced to the world of watchmaking. At AP, he was head of a 50-person team and was responsible for global brand and marketing strategy, advertising, digital, CRM, trade marketing, public relations, sponsoring, events, exhibitions, hospitality, and product management. During his time there, he led a major brand repositioning, establishing the watchmaker as leading player in the industry.
Tim Sayler, who is originally from Munich, Germany, first came to Switzerland to study business and economics at the University of St. Gallen. He also attended the HEC in Paris and New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business before starting his career at Procter & Gamble in Geneva in 1998. In 2004, Tim joined Procter & Gamble’s Prestige division and his entry into the world of luxury goods was as Global Brand Manager for Hugo Boss fragrances. Later, he was named Global Marketing Director and led a portfolio that included some of the world’s best-known fragrance brands, including Lacoste, Alfred Dunhill, Montblanc, Rochas, ESCADA and Baldessarini.
