Tobias Karlström is the Managing Director of Sanoma Utbildning, one of the largest publishing companies in Sweden focused on the education market from Kindergarten to higher education. Sanoma Utbildning has a 25 year history of publishing and is today positioned with one foot in the analog world and one foot in the distruptive edtech sector. Leveraging on digital opportunities Sanoma Utbildning is already delivering solutions that support teachers ability to improve learning impact and capacity. Tobias is currently starring in the web-TV series “Jakten på världens bästa skola” where he meets and interviews different experts on the theme on how we can improve the Swedish school system.
As part of the leadership team of Sanoma Learning, Tobias also has perspective on the educational and edtech market in the 5 European markets where the group operates with 3 000 employees serving 1 million teachers and 10 million students. Tobias has an entrepreneurial background from the education, digital and communication markets with experience as founder, board member, CEO and MD in several companies and industry organizations. Since four years he is a board member of the international prized and recognized Berghs School of Communication.
